About Sarat Raman, MD
Dr. Raman loves working with members to help them design reasonable solutions to their health concerns that work within the complexities of their lives. As a clinical leader, he has a passion for health equity-driven quality improvement based on the fundamentals of primary care. He loves designing systems of care that make it easier for providers to help people achieve their health goals.
With more than 20 years of practice, Dr. Raman has worked in a variety of settings. Most recently, he was a clinical leader at Vera Whole Health in Seattle. He practiced family medicine in New Orleans, which is also where he did his family medicine residency at LSU. He worked with several systems, including the Veterans Administration hospital, a PACE organization, and multiple community health centers over his career. He helped develop and certify multiple community health centers as patient-centered medical homes in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina devastation. He also served as the Associate Clerkship Director for medical students in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Tulane University.
Originally from West Virginia, he has found a home in the Pacific Northwest. He enjoys board games, reading, woodworking, and getting outdoors.
